Nicci grew up in South Africa in beautiful surroundings, influenced by the colours, textures and possibilities, and a family that was in the textile industry. She knew from a young age that she wanted to balance creativity, family and life experiences by creating beautiful spaces.
After studying Interior Design in Cape Town, Nicci moved to the UK in 2006. Her first role was with an architectural firm, working on beautiful listed home counties. She fell in love with English countryside homes, gaining a deep appreciation for detail and heritage. This was where Nicci built her foundation in interior architecture.
In 2007, Nicci moved into London’s hospitality design scene and later, honed her site experience with a Surrey developer, constructing residences on luxury estates that demanded precision, collaboration, and impeccable finishes. Nicci built relationships with trusted suppliers and subcontractors, learning the value of a well-chosen team—people who could bring a vision to life with expertise and care.
In 2020, Nicci founded Aivyla Cole Interiors, bringing a wealth of industry experience of craftspeople, contractors, and specialist designers. Working for herself has allowed me to offer something rare: a deeply personalised, client-first experience.
From concept to completion, Nicci is involved at every step, working as a team to ensure a seamless process and a stunning result and positive client experience.
